Shannon Taylor, LAC

Hi! My name is Shannon and I am an empathetic and compassionate therapist who completed my Master degree in rehabilitation and mental health counseling from Rutgers University. I have extensive experience working with adults and children with mental wellness challenges. My priority is creating a safe space for people to navigate life challenges and achieve personal growth. I strive to help people achieve this in a world that invalidates them and taking care of our mental health.

I use a blend of therapeutic approaches that include solution focused, CBT, DBT, and ACT to help individuals overcome life’s challenges and improve their mental wellness. I specialize in helping people of the lgbtqia community, minorities and anyone who has experienced challenges in life to build their best life and navigate a world that can be challenging. I desire to help any person that wants to learn, grow and improve their mental health to meet their goals and create their unique life worth living. I believe in the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance and fostering open communication to facilitate healing and self-discovery.

I am passionate about helping people to identify and control their emotions, discover coping strategies and work toward their goals. If you are looking for someone to be an empathetic ear, having challenges navigating mental wellness and life’s challenges, looking to learn methods for improving mental health; I look forward to working with you.
