Kelly Hess, MS, LAC

Kelly Hess is a compassionate clinician based in Medford, New Jersey. Her warm, empathetic approach reflects her deep passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and her unwavering commitment to fostering healing, resilience, and mental wellness in her community.

Kelly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology from Park University and a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) with over five years of direct clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Kelly has extensive experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, various other personality disorders, and also co-occurring disorders.

Kelly utilizes evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play therapy and Gottman Method Couples Therapy to guide her work with individuals and couples. She also draws on trauma-informed principles to create a safe, supportive, and affirming therapeutic environment for all clients.

Her clinical background includes work in individual therapy, couples counseling, and community-based mental health settings, with a focus on those impacted by trauma, abuse, domestic violence, homelessness, and substance use disorders. Kelly works with clients ages five and up and emphasizes the importance of validation and affirmation throughout the therapeutic process. She believes that healing begins with honoring each person’s lived experience and creating a space where they feel truly seen and heard.
